We think it should be.

Pink Team explores the human layer of security and works to identify, develop, and elevate talent from backgrounds that traditional cybersecurity often overlooks.

We publish field intelligence, create educational resources, build community, and help translate real-world experience into security practice.

We are particularly interested in expertise that emerges from lived experience rather than formal credentials.

Because the future of security will depend on understanding people as much as systems.

Pink Team was founded from the belief that some people are already practicing security long before the industry gives them that name.

As a sex worker, I learned to think about risk through people: trust, boundaries, privacy, reputation, coercion, platform surveillance, and personal safety. That experience shaped how I understand security. It made me see that threat modeling is not only something that happens in technical environments. It also happens in inboxes, group chats, online platforms, workplaces, nightlife, care networks, and communities under pressure.

Pink Team is not here to make lived experience sound more acceptable to the cybersecurity industry. It is here to take that knowledge seriously.

We are building a bridge for women, queer people, sex workers, and others who have been told they do not belong in security, even when they already understand risk better than many people trained to name it.
